I was about to order a 2017 250 super duty about a month ago and decided to wait until the first ones hit the lot to see the actual payloads. I took the time to look closer at the GMC Sierra 2500 and ram 2500 all in highest trim levels.
The Ram and Denali had the best payload at around 2200# on payload sticker.
I also considered the f-150 with HD payload.
For the 2016 f-250 platinum, it had only about 120# more payload than a f150 platinum at around 1700#.
So currently looking at ordering a f350 as even if the 2017 f250 increases its payload, I don't feel it will be enough to cover my needs.
