And it's pretty obvious - although they try and be polite and nice to all the manufacturers, the Ford killed them with the Train Pull!!!

Hi from GA . . .Thanks for the tip John, sounded like an interesting premise, but Geez, that show is awful. A blatant & very poor copy of the BBC show of the same name. And their truck challenge ? Nobody just hooked up a honking big trailer and compared pulling power !!! Lame. Think I'll cotinue to get my truck info here on the forum Regards, Craig

I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, but the host is here on Airforums. At one point he was looking for an older 'stream to fix up and take along on the set. I don't know if he pulled the trigger or not. He certainly has plenty of TV options.

SO TRUE! Regardless of what mfr. wins whatever....the "stunts" are so unscientific and meaningless in the real world. They don't even run the trucks on the SAME tests!!!!

It is a very poor show....nothing like the British original. Even the personalities (hosts) are non-entertaining!

You mean the Ford is not the best? Damn..... ;(

Seriously - I have never seen them bash any of the three US manufactures.

Still - I'm finding it entertaining at moments, the show has grown on me but still no BBC production in terms of quality...

I mean what I said. Entertaining (very little at that) but nothing at all scientific or what should be used to determine which truck to by for the road, towing. What was with having an F450 against 3500s? Wasn't the F350 up to the task?

But you hit the nail on the head: it's not MEANT to be a "scientific" show, to advise as to how to choose trucks. It's just ENTERTAINMENT! Judged as entertainment, you can like it or don't.

Heck last night I watched the British version where they had a "race" over a measured mile between a Beatle and a Porche Turbo. The Beatle won.

The punch line? The Beatle was dropped from a helicopter from a mile up in the air, and the Porche drove the mile.

Now that was a real scientific test!
