Dually Wheel Spacers

Any of you guys with duallies using spacers between your rear wheels?
I'm considering a set of bolt on steel type so I can put wider tires back there. I'll probably go with the 2 inch size on my Chevy.
Besides looking cool with a wider stance, I think the wider tires will help traction when I decide to camp on a beach this summer.

I used them on my Dodge cummins with an 11.5 foot camper on the back. I had the bolts tightened to 140ft pounds and drove it all over the place. i was worried about them from what i would hear but every time i checked the torque they were still at 140. So from personal experience i would say they are fine but nothing is better than wheel to wheel contact. Make sure you use steel and not aluminum like some. This is one time aluminum wouldnt be my favorite.. ha ha..

Make sure you have enough clearance for larger tires. I used a different offset on the wheels I put on one of my duallies to get more space for the larger tires.
