We just came back from a 750 mile trip into Michigan and back. My wife hates interstates,so we run the back roads. We have the 1ton SW F350/7.3 /27ft OVERLANDER. If we were gonna get sway when meeting semi's we would certainly would know about it.We get no sway regardless of the configuration of the semi we are meeting even with a crosswind.

We use a old Reese Dual Cam/Straightline that works like a dream with 500 lb bars. It rides so smooth.
I think U should use whatever makes ya happy.
I always wanted a DUALLY they look so cool, wiff all the extra lites and rear fenders, but oppted for the SW and am not sorry.

Mike You are my sons hero. Honestly no joke. He loves duallys. swears buy um.
Nothin like a big dually blowin black smoke when under a load. He lives for that. He likes to load the sun of a gun up way over weight and then let the clutch out to hear the deisel work. I think it is funny to watch but at least he is safe. Toyota or NIssan couldnt do that.
