Hey guys , I have looked at 2 vehicles and plan to buy one today. Going cross country on Friday. Need opinions from experienced people. This isn't a dodge vs. Ford battle, please.
1. Dodge Ram 1500
quad cab, hemi 5.7
Drove good. Lots of pickup. Seemed fairly well maintained. Couple small dents. Tow package. 2 owners. No towing yet. Low profile tires. Feels more like a far cat than a truck. Passed smog last month. Has a cold air intake and high flow exhaust and need liner. Passenger window needs repaired. Won't till down from passenger control. CD player won't eject. No rust. Guy still owes on loan. Would have to go to bank and wait on title.
2. Ford F150 crew cab Triton 5.4 v8
Owned by a middle age couple. Completely stock. Tow package. They towed a 30 foot trailer. About 10 times. Very honest. Looks and drive like a new truck. Felt like a truck. Bed liner. Everything works. Back up sensors. Title in hand. Ready to sell.
I am leaving towards the Ford because it seemed cleaner and I liked the design better. I have heard from people to get the Hemi though. They say it is a beast and will last. I usually choose based on looks and interior, but this time I want reliability over looks. What are your thoughts? I am deciding by 2pm today...
Both are asking $12k. I plan to start at $10k and see where we go for either...
