Dodge Durango

My father tows his SOB with a Dodge Durango (2003, I think with a 5.4 litre engine...I think it's 5.4). Is this a suitable vehicle for towing a 1972 Tradewind? I'm thinking of borrowing his truck for a trip to Vancouver Island. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

If its got the factory tow package, its probably fine. a 72 TW is ~6000lbs fully loaded...the Durango w/ the 5.7 and tow package will handle that easily. Same tow ratings as the 1/2 ton pickups.

I'm pretty sure it's the factory package. I'll be talking with him this weekend, so I'll see if I can get all the details. Thanks Chuck!
