Hi Stonescrest, saw your other post about towing with the Liberty. I didn't jump in because all the others pretty much spelled it out for you. But now I see that you don't yet own a liberty but are considering purchasing one as a TV. I am sure they are great vehicles, very cute. I have owned three Jeep CJ's over the years-and will get another some day. But if you have not yet purchsed a TV, then I would not be considering a Liberty as such. Just because you can move that much weight ("mfr tow rating") doesn't make it a safe choice. That short wheel base is an accident waiting to happen. All the folks here are just trying to help you avoid a tragedy. If you want a liberty then get one, but consider something else for a TV, Even an older truck you can put aside and dedicate for towing...
