I had the 4.10 from the factory in my 2000 Suburban V8, I replaced it with the 3.73 limited slip thinking i would get better mpg, etc. It was a huge mistake. There was a huge difference in power & my MPG actually dropped from 18 to 13.The 3.73 limited slip was noisy & it exploded on my last trip out. My truck is in the shop now, im having the original "open" 4.10 rebuilt & put back in.
