Wonder if they make one to replace the rock guards on the AS.. now that would be cool....
Don't the Aussies call 'em ROO Guards..

When I took the Airstream to JC for its deer damage repair there had been a new Classic in the week before with deer damage, too. The tow vehicle hit the deer and it flipped over the roof, rolled down the roof of the TV and crashed through the front wrap window and landed on the leather sofa under the front window where, shredded by the glass and Plexiglas solar stone guard, bled to death. It was not a pretty picture. Blood and guts all over the place.

As another Texan told me, who lives well away from the city, (he both ranches and collects royalties), "Get the Ranch Hand full replacement bumper, not the grill guard, 'cause, it ain't just them little deer, its the cows as well."

have deer whistles on my vehicles and the kids vehicles and they seem to work assuming you are traveling at least at 45mph.my dog ld(lucky dog) sleeps everywhere we go unless nature calls.she doesnt seem to be affected by the whistles.usually if a deer is on the side of the road when i am approaching they seem to freeze until i get past them.dont know if its the noise of the diesel or the whistles.

Don't know if the deer can hear any sound from those 'horns'...but the outfit that sells those 10 cent pieces of plastic for $5 sure likes the 'sound' of the coin in the cash box!... wish I'd thought of that gimmick first!

My impression is that if a deer can't hear the sound of a vehicle's rumble and tire noise coming down the road, those little 'horns' ain't going add enough to help the situtation...

If a deer is 'trapped' in the middle of the road, hypnotized by your headlights, those little horns ain't going to get it out of the way!

Speed Road Kills...
