Conversion Van to pull 30' Airstream

I want to switch my tow vehicle and use a conversion van to pull my 30' airstream classic. My thinking is that I could make side trips and have accomodations. Any suggestion as to an appropriate vehicle? Probably just my wife and I to use it.

The big Fords would be on my list.

My father-in-law used to tow his 34' with a full size chevy van marketed by a Milwaukee company as a "Tow Max" it had a 454 cubic inch engine in it. He finally got rid of it because it got 10 mpg when towing and when not towing.

When we were looking for a van I avoided the conversion vans because the conversions make them heavy and take away some of their load capacity. I went with a regular passenger van.

I wonder what you can tow with an AS B-Van? It's a mid-90s Ford van.

my van

I got an old church bus G30 1 ton Chevrolet with a 5.7 liter engine. I haven't pulled with it yet, but I like the idea of it.

Here is a thread with comments about using a passenger van as a tow vehicle.
