Cold Air Intake for gas Silverado Truck

Has anyone ever put a cold air intake on your truck and did it help in towing? I have a 2019 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD gas. Just wondering if it helps on hill climbs?

I put a S&B on a 2011 F250 diesel and noticed no change in performance except a decrease in fuel mileage. Changed it back to stock and saw a 1 mpg bump up. Maybe the factory engineers have some insight into how things work best......
Now I know there are those out there that do deletes, chip, etc. who will tell you I am wrong. So be prepared for some significant discussion and a variety of opinions.

I guess it depends on what is considered cold air.

Our '06 Burb 2500 takes it's air from right front, down low, well away from the engine compartment heat.

One of the more interesting ODB outputs on my Tacoma is intake air temp. Usually 10-15 over ambient air temp.

MOST late model vehicles already have cold air intake from the factory so adding an aftermarket kit won't help. If you have an older model it may not already have cold air set up so it may help.
