Well maybe it's that I'm serious about my bikes. Either one of them is pretty tempting for a thief, which is the main reason for keeping them inside. But I also really don't want bugs splattering or cars backing into them. Maybe this group can understand it this way- I love my bikes at least as much as my Airstream!
