Hi,
Any chance of telling us where you got the serpentine belt kit? Looking at the maze of belts on my 454, thinking it would be easier just to have one belt and one spare to carry along.
Thanks, Derek

Derek,

We are also a Chevrolet dealer. We ordered the serpentine belt kit from General Motors. You can go to your local Chevrolet dealership's parts department and ask to look at the 2011 Performance Parts Catalog and the serpentine belt kits are listed on page 256 in that catalog. There are some listed for big block engines (with and without A/C, etc). You can also go to the web site www.gmperformanceparts.com and look under big block accessory drive kits. I think it still has to be ordered through a local GM dealer. Hope this helps.

The Argosy FINALLY went to the cabinet shop today!!

The 3-way refrigerator, microwave, kitchen sink, stove/oven, and the carbon monoxide /LP gas detector are all installed.

We also had bi-fold doors installed for the bathroom.

They built a new seat above the generator, we'll have a cushion made. That way we can install a removable table between that seat & the couch.

Also, we found a new overhead center light that is the same as the old one. I do not know if the old one is original (it's has yellowed). The brand, which was the old one and new one, is Thin-Lite.

I had the pleasure of checking out the Argosy last week...all I can say is COOL! The workmanship is stunning, the photos do not do it justice!

Towing a matching trailer will really be a head turner

Next on the project list is to reinstall the grey tank. When the PO was driving the Argosy to me, so I could purchase it, the grey tank fell out & dragged on the highway for a while & it rubbed a hole in it. We patched the hole & it's holding water. The main challenge will be connecting the wires for the sensors.

Also, the MH does not have any shoulder seat belts, it only has lap belts. I'm planning on purchasing a pair of used Chevrolet Silverado seats, about 2002 year model (Suburban & Tahoe will also work) because they have the complete seat belt assembly, including shoulder belts, made into the seats. I don't want to install shoulder belts to the wall because they may pull out of the aluminum ribs.

Great work, Rick! It all looks fantastic. I especially like the sink with the flip up faucet head. I have never seen one like that before.

Thank you! The sink with the flip up faucet is the same one that is in some the current model Airstreams.

I found a couple of seats out of an Airstream Motorhome on craig's list & they were a great price! There's a water leak in the center of the windshields, talked to the company that installed them & they're going to reseal that area. Also, we're ordering the awning(s) today from Zip Dee, trying to match the blue in the exterior stripe....

Screen Door

We made some progress on the screen door. Had it rescreened and then installed a modern Airstream latch and screen guards (we do have grandchildren!).

The new electric step and the Zip Dee awnings are next in line to be installed!

Just got the first Zip Dee on & the color matches the exterior blue. Should get the other two awnings on next week along with the new power step. We first tried a two step, but it was too close to the propane valves. The one step should work. As soon as we get these items on, I'll hookup up the Argosy Minuet and take them for a test run. I'll post some photos at that time. I need to check the electrical connection for the brakes & brake lights between the MH & TT.

Wow

Fantastic progress on the interior. The new cabinets and appliances look awesome. You are going to love those comfy captains chairs while you are going down the road. What an improvement over the originals. Where is your dining table located? Maybe think about a pair of matching zip dee chairs so you can relax in style when you get to your campsite? We love ours. Can't wait to see the towing pictures, Keep up the great work.
Thanks for all your posts.
