Thanks. Roof would be an option, but I'm thinking it's "cleaner" on the bed.

My BakFlip VP is similar to G2 in design but all the sections are covered on the exposed surface by a one pieces vinyl top. This is supposed to prevent water seeping into the section joints. I have several spots in the rubber sectional gaskets where they are separating from the panel. Hope yours doesn't do the same. I may try a spot of Termpro on one spot to see if it holds. 3m double sided tape didn't hold after being in the heat.

I chose the G2 because of all aluminum construction. In my mind, I thought vinyl covered would be like the old soft tonneaus- shrink, fade, require mass quantities do Armor-All to keep it looking nice-

We have new tow vehicle now, Tundra is gone . After owning a tonneau I'm going with a camper shell. I'm not really interested in traveling far out of my area to look at camper shells. So far there is are dealer for ARE, ATC, Ranch in my area. Snugtop is 70 miles away.

I' looking at a basic shell with folding front window, 12v light.

I'm not sure of a roof rack since anything long really needs a support on the truck cab and one on the cap to support something like a canoe.

I also like the idea of a front receiver hitch for a bike rack.

So do I. But it reduces air to the heat exchangers and reduces visibility. "Best" would be a way to carry them above the hitch receiver, second on the back of the TT.

On the back of my Classic would be a pain-
The shore cord and hose are in a storage compartment on the back of the trailer.
On the back of the trailer or on the front of the truck will help with weight distribution. Over the receiver will add weight to the middle of an already maxed out to overloaded truck.
I wonder if the Thule (or Yakima) fork lock will go on this narrow section of the Bakflip.

Looks like a good spot if it will hold tight.

I would reinforce it on the top and bottom with flat steel.
