BMW X5 with Bambi?

I did a search on this forum and got no hits for X5 and just a few for BMW. So, I still need help. We are considering a Bambi -- maybe even just a 16' and will likely never want anything bigger. We camp a lot in USFS and other campgrounds with small sites, so a bigger TT would not work for us.

We have no suitable TV, but want something enjoyable to drive and good for the Colorado ski season. An X5 replacing our current X3 seems like a nice choice. The X5 is rated at 6000 lbs capacity, but the wheelbase is relatively short. Has anyone had experience towing with an X5? Any thoughts or advice?

Thanks,

Ed Brady

I think there are one or two here that have experience with the BMW. There are also those who use the Toureg and Mercedes SUVs.
