Very interesting thread. My TV was what I wanted but I'm not crazy for the color- a dull tan gold. After having many black vehicles, it's taking a lot to get used to, and I'm still not used to it. I have seen the same model in black and I'm seriously considering having it painted! I figure the black will mirror the silver AS image and the AS will absorb the black and everything around it like a kaliedescope...I like red too, but... Decisions decisions!

That Jeep above makes me want to take a test drive, cover the graphics up with mud and return it.

We don't have to drive our Tundra that way. Try using your hands.

^ HAHAHAHA!! That would be quite a difficult way to drive.

Oh, and the Barbie Jeep would be perfect for whoever bought that Pamela Anderson unique whip Airstream.

The Shock of towing with a mini-van!

It does surprise me how many people are surprised that I tow the Sovereign with just a 4.2 litre V6. Hey, that's Ford power!
I couldn't agree more... half of the curious fellow campers who visit me while I'm camping want to learn about my airstream, the rest... want to meet the crazy guy who tows his trailer with a VW van. The truth is, with the proper hitch equipment, I barely notice my 32' trailer is behind me. This is with the 4.0L Chrysler engine that VW used on these vans. My Van is a brown metallic... not necessarily the ideal colour combination with the AS, but the van came first.

Hi, was white and still white. To get all of the options I wanted [and then some] without ordering a new truck, mine was bought by my selling dealer from one in another state.

Truck came first, but the combination works.

Smile Any color!

Any color is awesome. After all, you're towing an Airstream.

Our TV is midnight blue, though I need a more recent picture - we've added a matching cap since I took this at the dealership just over a year ago.

Although not deliberate, my vehicles compliment one another (see avatar). The X5 came first in "Titanium Grey" with black lower trim while the 2002 ASCL 31' is "Aluminum Grey" with dove grey lower trim; looks like they were deliberately designed together.

Even though I am not a big fan of silver vehicles generally, I will have to admit that our 2004 Quadrasteer (Daisy) made the best looking tow vehicle for Lucy.

Both incarnations of our TV happened to be silver--mainly because the dealer only had Tacos in silver when we bought them.

Hm, all our other Toyotas are silver too--for the same reason. And bought about the same time of year. I guess Toyotas favorite manufactured color is also silver.

But it looks nice in front of a silver trailer 😃

The best color is the one you have. I think that strong contrast to the Airstream 'silver' works well.
