Hahah haha. That’s hilarious. You never know when it will be empty and ‘hours’ to refill [emoji4] did you read that in last week’s edition of Sunday Sport?
A commercial driver is limited to 11 hours driving on a 14 hour duty cycle. That’s ~600-700 miles per day with 3 hours rest before 10 hours of downtime.
So... um..... drive for 350 miles. Stop, shower, eat, charge (30 minutes for 400 mile range whilst you eat and shower)... drive another 350 miles... stop, eat, sleep, charge, shower... new day.
Tesla semi is 500 mile range which is 150 mile reserve given one stop in the day to rest and recharge. < 30 minutes to put back that energy.
Do you believe commercial truck drivers are robots and can drive 1,000 miles non stop? Humans need to stop and recharge too.
Oh and about 1/5th the operating cost of the vehicle. Yeah OTR haulers will hate that.
