Actually there is a KOA in Alamosa, just east of town, closed for the winter on Oct. 31; one 6 miles north of Pueblo on I-25; one south of Pueblo near Colorado City. There may be others between Denver and Santa Fe, but those are ones I know of. There's no KOA in Taos, but there is Taos Valley RV park which is comparable. If it rains or snows a lot all could get muddy, but they are usually fine.
