300,000 mile club

I am on the threshold of a milestone: 300,000 miles on my tow vehicle. It did not exactly lead a pampered life, as the tow vehicle for a horse trailer, but it's loving it's life now. Just the occasional trip tugging the Airstream, and a few trips a month to Home Depot.

Who else out there is up over 300k? What make and model? Gas or diesel?

2001 supercharged v10, Ford Excursion. 326xxx miles. Only recently renewed the cooling system. Best vehicle I have ever owned. I put all but 9000 miles on it. I haul my 34' classic full-time.

My TV is a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9L 24 valve Cummins.

I actually took it cross country to California and back to Illinois recently, and I have enough faith in her to do it again. I averaged 16.2 mpg on that trip BTW. That includes going up over the hill on I-76 just west of Denver.Click image for larger version

321,000 on my 2007 Ram 2500. Really thought I could get at least that much more on it but a distracted driver ran a red light and helped me prove you don't need brakes to stop a truck going 50 mph, only a concrete wall. Truck was totaled along with my spine, but I'm mending well and there is a new Ram 2500 out front waiting for me to recover sufficiently to hoist the hitch and hook up.

I am a baby with a 2011 F250 at 199500. It has only been across the country towing a trailer 16 times...winter, spring, summer, and fall. It must love me because it got me through some interesting stuff with a trailer in tow every time. Airstream and box trailers....and I have to tell you I prefer to tow the Airstream over the box trailers even though there is an additional 20 feet of stuff behind me!!!!!

408,000 miles on my '96 Toyota T100. About only 30% of the miles while towing (firewood trailer, utility trailer, boat trailer, 22' Safari ). The Safari gets towed Oregon to Minnesota and back once a year.

My Various Jeeps have imploded at about 300,000 miles. 89 Cherokee 4 L Straight 6, 93 GC 5.2 V8, 2003 GC 4.7 V8. Only the 2008 diesel is still going strong with 300,000 miles but is retired from towing and is a grocery getter and kid chauffeur. It also worked the hardest towing a 25 and then 30 Airstream. My 2000 4.7 GC still working but is a now a grocery getter with only 120,000 miles. My current 2014 GC diesel is on its second engine at 120,000 miles. They were all well maintained but you just don't ever really know what nasty part lurks inside the block, wanting to escape at the most inconvenient time. In spite of towing near the limit, I have never had to replace any drive line components. Airstreams have covered about 300,000 miles.

275,000 on my 05 Silverado 1500.....

I'll take it anywhere.....

The fact that I am opinionated does not presuppose that I am wrong......
