My first truck and it's amazing. Very happy I waited and did not get the Denali or Ram. Endless payload and power with incredible ergonomics and technology. Its paired up with a 28' Pendleton and ProPride hitch. Pretty much a locomotive with a caboose.

Thanks Ron.

Here are the axle weights. 225lb driver with 3/4+ tank, nothing else.

Looking at the GVWR sticker and your scale ticket, I'm surprised the front axle's weight is so high, only 380lbs shy of GAWR. Rear axles has almost 4000lbs before GAWR is reached. I wonder how much a WDH will transfer to the front axle.

You won't have to wonder long, I need to get 1k miles on it before towing and I'll then work on hitching it up and get new scale readings. Break in trip end of October.

Upon some research the sticker may be incorrect as the axle is actually rated for 5600lbs, or 5900 with the snow plow prep package. Ford has issues with incorrect stickers for both the front and rear gawr

It's as if they printed the sticker as if it's a 4x2 instead of a 4x4.

What is the truck's stable mate? '72 Monte Carlo? Chevelle? Pontiac?
Hard to tell exactly which model, but looks GM for sure.
What is your avatar picture? Looks like an off-road ambulance.

You don't need to transfer much weight to the front on a one ton.
