Really??????
Good catch. I hadn't noticed that.
Did the other trucks do anything to change their engine's output since those years?
I'm still very concerned about the incredible amount of power (440 HP) the Ford F-250 PSD has! I can only hope it can be bridled.

All the trucks have more power than you need. All are good trucks. I would be comparing comfort.

AH HA - Since the thread was named 2015 "Diesel Truck Tow-Off" which was about power and now we're subtly switching to comfort, I'm going to conclude the 2015 Ford F-250 PSD won the Tow-Off!

Thank you.

...and gearing selection of the test trucks means nothing?

It only means nothing if your favorite brand wins.

yes indeed! my 2014 F350 Ford diesel, when not towing averages 21.5-22 mpg at 65 mph. towing the 25' AS, 14-15 at the same speeds. i go up hills and grades at the posted speed limit, is that torque?

i should also point out that this truck is quiet inside and out, something no RAM can claim. it has more bells and whistles than i will ever get accustomed to using. but the handy electrically controlled mirrors turn out to be very convenient when parking in lots, retracted and folded, or going by ferry from here to there. the biggest disappointment was the 26g fuel tank with the crew cab, now solved by installing a transfer flow 50g tank.

is the bed of your truck covered?? i have found it does make a difference in mileage numbers. my truck came with the Ford roll up tonneau cover, not the best but it works.

should also disclose this is a 4x4 truck. i have to assume the Tundra's mentioned above are not 4x4 trucks as the very best i ever achieved from either of the Tundras' i owned was 15 mpg empty.

I get 15 empty in a 2-wheel drive Tundra, and up to 13 pulling my Classic 30. I got 12 mpg from the first trip in 2012, up from 10 mpg with the sob-

2012 Dmax 4x4 crew cab 2500. "bio-diesel"... +18MPG alone... up to 16MPG towing but varies... can be 12MPG with good headwind and serious hills. Speed kills MPG... so does 'bio-diesel'... at least in my truck. But the exhaust needs ketchup.

Have had bad glow plug, blown electronics in the seat fans/heaters, first batteries lasted only a year... Replaced all gear lube at 50kmile... Driver seat lumbar device failed because the seat structure is weak... Riveted in place, works fine now... runs great...

They are all good it's just a matter of personal preference. They all have enough torque to pull your house across the county line.
