2014 Toyota Tundra
The news is out on the new 2014 Toyota Tundra. You can find it out here:
2014 Toyota Tundra Gets Sexy New Interior, Same Old Engines | AutoGuide.com News
Basically, all they have done is restyled the exterior sheet metal and redone the interior. So just new fluff, no substantive changes at all. Some are complaining that there are no new drive trains. I don't have a problem with that as I believe that the Tundra 5.7L motor and the 6 speed tranny are as good as any drive train being offered in any of the 1/2 ton trucks.
To make me happy, I would have like to have seen an increase in payload as an option or have a real mechanical rear locker offered.
The new "chiseled" styling puts it in line with the other big 3 trucks. I actually prefer the present rounded styling, so I am quite happy. I think the rounded styling looks better with an Airstream in tow.

I figure our 2008 Tundra CrewMax will be towing our Bambi until around 2020. And, since the "Mr. Fusion Home Energy Reactor" (that converts household waste to electrical power) should be available in 2015, I figure our 2020 Tundra will probably be a hybrid, partially powered by flux capacitors.
On the downside, I've heard that time machine development is running way behind schedule. However, this is not a big a problem; because when it's up and running, they can transport the device and technology backwards in time to the original, target completion date.
In any case, I'm not really concerned; because we own a timeless, Airstream travel trailer (circa 2005).

Hi, for some strange reason, the hood on this truck [Toyota Tundra] is about six inches higher than the hood on my Navigator; Must have a really huge engine under there. Anyway, now they say that the hood, for 2014, has been raised about 1.6"s. Are they trying to make it like a 50's Kenworth of something? They better have cameras mounted in the grill so short drivers will be able to see the street in front of them.

Now it looks almost as boring as an F150 or a Silverado. I am not a big Chrysler fan, but to me the Ram is the best looking truck out there right now.

True... I get a kick out of the the size of these things. They make the hoods/grills on pickups huge like "Mack" wanna be's. Our car or van have never had a cooling issue towing the 23' even with a normal sized grill.

Can't anyone build an attractive truck? They're loaded with styling cliches. No elegance about the styles, just try to look big and tough. I agree the Ram is the best looking of the bunch.
For years I've bought in spite of the styling, not because of.
But the "same old engine" is wonderful.

What ever happened to aerodynamic improvements. They really need to lower the front and rake the windshield much more.
Not sure if any trucks will try to look smaller as bigger is the general direction.
We need 'warp drive' in my opinion.

No kidding... cleaning the winshield on my Ford is almost as difficult as the windshield on my Foretravel (when I had that)...
... No, I take that back, the Foretravel was much easier.

Without tangenting too badly, what _I_ want to know about the tundra pulling the shuttle is wether they used a weight distribution hitch and whose it was?

Hi, this Toyota did not have a WD hitch and the Space shuttle was mounted on self-powered dollies.
