leave the pavement?

no way!

don't wanna get the tires dirty.

and the chromed front tow loops improve aerodynamics...

same for the shinny mirror caps and running boards,

bling being slick and all that.

i'm getting 30 mpg now easy.

like the guy dreamin' in his cummins...

must be the topper and wax.

cheers

You know that Ford and Airtsream are teaming up. They are just following our lead and hitching the best TT ever made to the best TV ever made.

Plus 1 to that...

Btw - some of the best Ford folks hanging over here, honest opinions and funny - the "Chevy KoolAid" is in the next thread over, some of us here only drink the "Airstream" & "Ford" flavored "KoolAids".

The "Ram" formally known as "Dodge" folks are drinking something a bit stronger over in their forums, 30mpg - "Holy Handgernades Batman"...

Your marker lights are an interesting change. Really made me look at the photos twice. I've ordered an f150 and have never had a pickup before.
I have a question one of you Ford guys must be able to answer. When you are hooked up with a Hensley hitch can you open the tailgate to access the back?
Thanks,
Al

tail gate is no problem with the fancy hitches al...

opens just fine, plenty of room.

IF your new 150 has the tail gate step,

there isn't room to lower it while hitched with typical drops.

cheers

How do you think I feel - mine arrived last week and I'm waiting one week since I'm out of town this week...

Good news, their taking their time prepping it so it should be 1000% when I pick it up next week...

A new set of sylvania bulbs did the trick.

THEPILL I have a question for you....on your truck, does opening your tailgate trip your alarm? My tailgate lock is not connected to my alarm system. I'm asking becuase someone popped open my driver side door with a screwdriver in an attempt to either steal the truck or rob the contents. Fortunately for me the alarm tripped when the door opened and the burglar gave up without stealing anything inside or in the bed....just left me with a $1000 repair bill. I am going to ask Ford if they can wire my tailgate to the system so that if it is opened while the alarm is engaged it will sound off.

All Ford (other brands as well) truck owners need a set of these ( 2 sets if a crew cab) Vehicle Security and Theft Prevention Devices , otherwise, a thief can break into your truck in 5 seconds. Even with an alarm, they can do the "smash and grab" in 15 seconds and be gone. With the Jimmi-Jammers, they will have to totally smash out the lock system. The metal plate that comes with the kit also keeps the screwdriver-under-the-plate method from happening.

Along the tailgate drop situation, I had the same problem but found the Eze-lift on Ebay for around $40 and it works like a charm. Took about 10 minutes to install. Nice item and I installed one on my wife's Lincoln LT.

Gee, I must be crude. If I were doing a "smash and grab", I'd just break the window.

Nothing with glass openings is truly secure anyway.

Back to the original topic, great look Shane. Very nice truck. I agree, I'm not a big fan of all the chrome either. I would think it would be possible to achieve the same aero advantages by carefully waxing the hooks with aircraft wax.
