I, too, do not understand the horsepower war. The new Ford has TWO coolant systems. Etc.
At 305HP/555TQ I've never felt the need for more . . . except, more fuel mileage while pulling or carrying a heavy load.
With the stock 35-gl tank (this truck is unmodified) the range is always
above 700 miles (plus a reserve).
