Interesting when you talk about converting to the 4.10 axle from 3.73. At build time for my '03 3/4 GMC van, the 3.73 axle was the standard axle when you ordered the 6 liter engine. Cost at build time to upgrade to the 4.10 axle was $25. A small price to pay to pick up almost 2,000 lbs of additional towing capacity.

Hi, I was going to change my 3:73 gears for 4:10s but Ford won't let the computor calibrate my speedometer to match.

Quite simply, you can still order an "After Market" 4.10 gear package. Just be sure you order both kits , for the front and rear, if you are 4x4..

Hi, I got about the same numbers that you did, but the difference is in the torque rating how-ever small. 1/2 ton 6.0L 366HP / 376 Troque. 3/4 ton 6.0L 352HP / 382 torque.
