Bob--not only is it a 34', but I believe it's a slide out, too!

True, but how many Chrysler Aspens does it take to tow an Airstream?

They stopped selling the VW TDI's just for 2008, due to emission standards. They will be back in 2009 model year.

How do you know it's a slide?

BTW, in Canada the laws of physics can be bent enough to allow a 34 footer to be towed by a Dodge Intrepid.

Even the 08 has enough spring rate. You may not be aware but if you order a 150 standard cab with the heavy duty tow package it includes an upgraded frame and rear end. The Cargo rate for the 150 in this confguration has a cargo capacity of 3080#. MORE and some 3/4 tons. The spring pack is the same AS THE 3/4 ton. It only comes in reg. cab. XL trim tho..NO 4x4. You don't see any on lots....but its there if you want to order it. It has an 11.000# trailer tow capacity and a 16,400# GCVW capacity ON A 150. The tires are 10ply E rated and it has 7 stud wheels.

Thanks for the link. That's one sharp ride. I see it now that I have watched the video. I will say this, there looked to be a little tail wagging the dog when the truck pulled over to pass the camera vehicle. However, this was only momentary and may have been hitch related and not tow vehicle related.

Still, this is going to be one really nice truck!

I am out of this truck and what it will do but to all my friends as I sit in rock hound park new mexico and towing over 13k miles the following. I went over 12k miles with a a/s tilting forward to the extent that I could raise 5 holes and top that off with a center of ball to bumper at over 14.75 inches and all this approved by a certified a/s dealer??

As I improve the hitch, only 11.75 inches from the bumper, the f150 I have only gets better and better. It is a great design and takes more abuse than I dare to admit. Never overheats and does the job. I maintained today out of apache junction on rt 60 in over 75 degree heat and never left overdirive. Long climbs and no break. Going to Las Cruces and the Koa here is well a good one. Anyway the lesson for newbies is learn from this forum and use it to backup what the so called experts tell you from your dealership.

A new business idea. The forum set up a nationwide service network that has ownership in all dealerships they sponser from the forum. I am willing to invest in that one. Let the experts tell the so called experts how to run a rv repair enterprise

Vw...

The VW V-10 is still produced in their SUV model. The new VW diesel will be in the 2009 Jetta models that will be available late this summer.
