2008 Jeep Cherokee Diesel 4x4 - what can I tow??

My wife and I are looking to take our two boys on the road. What is a good match for our jeep
The Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR) is 12,250 lbs; the
Gross Trailer Weight is 7200 lbs and the Gross Tongue Weight for our
vehicle is 720 lbs?

anything under 25 feet. Wheel base is to short for a good solid tow vehicle. I dont get excited about first model year items either let everyone else work the bugs out.

Also put the truck on a scale loaded subtract that weight from your gcwr and that will give you what they say it can pull max by the way welcome to the forums. Good luck with your choice

Our son in Tampa bought a new Bambi 19 last year. He pulled it to Jacksonville with his 2006 4x4 V-8 Cherokee. The towing experience was so distasteful that he when he got back to Tampa, he traded the Jeep on a Ford 250 pick-up.

I towed a 22 Safari with my '02 Jeep Grand Cherokee V-8. HOWEVER, it was a vintage 1965 that weighed a lot less. It was a sweet handling combination.
