And more subjective, but a very positive outcome of this purchase...is that I get the strong endorsement from my 2 older brothers....whenever I buy something they do not approve of, I get to hear about it for...well...you never stop hearing about it

So- are you committed to the purchase of the gold Ram? 3/4 ton diesel? You will never be overloaded and can get 13 mpg at highway speeds.
You will have a trailer by July 4th!

Nah - not quite by July 4th - perhaps by end of July but definitely have something squared away by August

Would buy now but still unsure about bunkhouse vs sofa 30' flying cloud - we are really conflicted about this

Bunk house looks really nice for kids. Your on one end and the kids are at the other. Beds are always made. That's a big plus.

Take your kids when you go look. They will make up your mind for you.

The baby is only about 6 months old, right? The older one will run straight for the top bunk!

I wanted a black truck, but settled for silver. Now I'm glad I did. Silver looks better with the 'Stream. Color is more important with SOBs. You don't want to tow a white trailer with blue and gray swoopy graphics with a red truck...

Think abut where you'll be spending more time.

For us, the bunkhouse was just too dark and cramped. I love sitting on the sofa, with the big expanse of windows, reading a book. Making the bed takes five minutes a day, max, and pays you back with light and space galore.

The blue vinyl stripe on our International is in poor condition. I am thinking about cleaning it up and respraying with the same dark grey of our car. Stylin

As far as car/truck colors in the south I always chose white. Dark colored cars are literally hell in the summer heat. You burn your hands on the steering wheel and the interior degrades much faster because of the heat. Dark colors and silver are not good from a visibility standpoint. Silver blends in with the road and dark colors blend in with the enviroment. I have a dark green truck and I run with the head lights on even in the day time. My white Excursion is much cooler inside during hot weather than my dark colored truck or my Eclipse with the black roof. Maybe black is cool but it sucks as being practical. Silver would be my next worse color choice. Being seen is better than being cool. I also practice this when riding a motorcycle. Those that wear black on a black bike are asking to be a real cool looking corpse.

andreas....yes.....this is my concern. I mean, its a tradeoff....there is compromise in this decision.

WHen I look at sofa models...you walk into a bright living room with sofa wrapped in great window light...it is very appealing.

On the other hand, having bunks for the kids, "their own space" that are very convenient seems to have appeal to many folks.

I just dont know...I really dont....

Having owned a Bunkhouse for almost 7 years I can say it may not be the most trendy interior but I do not think there is a more functional one ever made. A ton of storage, kids have thier own private area for reading etc.

We have 5 girls and the Bunkhouse is awesome..

That's funny. I've thought about putting a blue stripe on my truck, as well as the oval blue "Classic" logo and the "Airstream" lettering. Sort of a Tundra Airstream Special Edition.

Black SUV, silver truck, black bike...SUV and truck were great deals, and I just like the black bike. I always run with lights on regardless of color. I wear orange or yellow when riding a motorcycle. I have had yellow, red, and orange vehicles in the past. White reminds me too much of work. Daytime running lights are great.
