2000 Grand Cherokee

want to tow a '77 26ft Argosy, with a 2000 Grand Cherokee 2WD, 4.0L. it's at the tow rating limit of 5000lbs, should I tow with O/D off? Just local traveling within FL.....

If you were going up and down hills and the tranny was always searching for the right gear, I'd say yes, but highway driving in Fl, just let the auto tranny do its thing.

I had an 88 Cherokee with the same engine. I would highly recommend you get a tranny cooler and a load leveling hitch.

Jeep has factory tow package with trans cooler, but I was thinking of a larger one.......and of course we have a load equalizing hitch. I've moved the rig around the property, but have not been out on the road yet.
