1999 f250 mudflaps

I have a 99 super duty I really don't want to put mud flaps on the truck does anybody have any tips on how to make temp ones for towing?

How about Bushwacker Flares? They look cool too.
Or...
Mount one like the big rigs that mounts under bumper temporarily for towing. It spans the entire width of the truck.
