I have a 2002 Astro Van with a Vortec V6 that has 225K and runs like new.
I bought it from a salesman friend with 195K on it three years ago & it's been the best vehicle value I've ever had. It just returned from two 1000 mile spring break trips with my son's and pals. Change the oil regularly and spend whatever it takes to maintain them properly and keep em' moving!

This is a great thread, good to see so many Folks using their American Iron the way it was intended. Nothing but GM in my driveway, we keep em' for 10 years and have put ~150k (or better) on many of them. I don't buy that BS about foreign stuff for one experience with American vehicles has been nothing but positive. (Confession; I did have an F150 in the 90's for one of my company trucks. Put over 200k on that one and it was a fine truck also.)
Rock on,
