Winter Streamin'

Hi
Can anyone give me advice or direct me to info on winter camping with an Airstream, How to, What not to do, etc. We live in Colorado, have a 25 ft Tradewind with a sketchy heater, its been winterized, but we are aching to head out and do some more camping. Are we totally crazy? or is it possible to use the toilet, hot water heater faucets etc. what's the trick to keeping it from freezing on the road?
Thanks

Bob & Lee's random trip

Hi, if you can find and read "Bob & Lee's random trip" we just recently camped in freezing weather in South Dakota. I think the only thing I could have used for my trailer would have been a heated water hose. As for the tow vehicle, I could have used tire chains and windshield washer fluid rated for this weather. Keep your fresh water tank full for when the outside source freezes. Keep your propane tanks full and be prepaired to keep your furnace on 24 hours a day. One of the two tanks could last about three days. [or six days total] We left the water heater on during the day; It stays warm for quite a long time, so we turn it off at night. We also turn the water heater off while on the road, but let it reach full temp first.

What is it about Colorado this month? We also live in Colorado and are itching to get out. So even though we have winterized, I think we are going to undo that and head for a campground either in Buena Vista or Loveland. We appreciate the tips. We should be okay with 1.5 tanks of propane. Will keep the trailer heated as we drive. And fill the water tank.
When are you going, Twilight10? Are you heading into the mountains? I'm concerned about towing our AS on snowy roads and how to set the brake controller? Any thoughts?

Hi, on ice I felt my trailer tires slipping before my tow vehicle while lightly applying my brakes, so I turned my brake controller down. I want brakes, but not too much. Sliding could cause loss of control.
