I have had up to a foot of snow piled on top of Chummy but it does not stay there long. When the sun comes out the aluminum warms up and melts the snow away. Our biggest problem with a snow storm was one night that it snowed so hard we could not get the door open in the morning.
I would rather be in a snow storm than a dust storm in West Texas.
