Question White Christmas? - Maybe........

Weather looks pretty dicey in a lot of places tonight.....and southwestern Missouri is one of those places. Our famous snow, ice, wintery mix, sneet, snain, etc. is on the way. We're as prepared as we're going to be - with the exception of filling two more 40's tomorrow - and hoping for a new 100# bottle from Santa (what have I come to???). Temps are dropping and the wind is howling.

The AS is behaving like a champ. The furnace is getting less complex - seems the sooting up of the ignitor and burner has to do with the temps and getting to the end of the bottle before the regulator valve makes the switch. I'm getting a lesson in cleaning soot off the ignitor and burner tomorrow. I have discovered that the furnace does have a personality of it's own and choses 3:00 am to sputter to a halt (in the best part of a good night's sleep) - so Ken opens the furnace door, cleans off the ignitor and burner - then tucks it in - hopefully for the night......which, most times, results in a good attitude over that first cup of coffee.

The electric service - putting in the next park box and all that it entails ought to happen next week - the same week that we are finalizing our move out of our 'stick and brick' house (everything at once to keep the confusion at high levels and stress at a max). Not to mention that our cat decided that full time living is also for him (didn't like his adoptive parents) - so, Petey is the cat residing in the tincan. Only one dog wants to eat him, so we're doing just fine.

I'm looking forward to the 'wintry mix' whatever it might be. I'll be a lot happier when I can add some additional electric heat - and I'll be even more happy when the new de-humidifier arrives - then I can start figuring out whether I have to move my dsl line/modem/and router into the trailer - but for now, two crisis' to deal with is more than enough.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!
HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY CELEBRATION!!

I know what you mean. A small cost of living raise, the first in a few years, was promised in July, then withheld by the Governor. He decided that revenues would cover the raises after all, so on the 15th, we got the raise retroactive to July. I splurged. I got a new propane regulator and a piece of laminate.

Merry Christmas! Hope all the winter precip stays north of the AR/MO border.

A "White Christmas" guaranteed here in the Blue Ridge Mountains as the white stuff hasn't left the ground all month. With a good chance of adding more snow tomorrow afternoon we may stay white until next year.

MERRY CHRISTMAS to all.

Not here...VERY dry, unseasonably warm, forecast in the 50's, no snow at all yet...well, a dusting the other day that wasn't really measurable. The mountains are getting it big time which is great for skiers, but not here in town. Very unusual...no white Christmas here ~ ought to be able to get around to everybody this year!

We're staying in and sharing a couple of fondue pots with friends, then probably a soak in the Jacuzzi with some cranberry martinis...Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to all ~

Xmas Snow

Rubbers required.
East coast of Vancouver Island has only the liquid snow. Low 40's F daytime and mid 30's at nite.
If you want snow we have lots of mountains close by to play on.

No snow here, ten days of rain and it looks like the muddy Amazon River has overrun it's banks into my back and side yard. New storm on the way, Santa is going to need a float plane to get around over here...

Here is my Happy Holidays to everyone.....

We keep getting buried here, one snowfall followed by a day or two to dig out, then more snow. I've never wanted to be a snowbird more in my life! *sigh*

We have 8-9 inches on the ground, about half of that fresh from yesterday. It's beautiful, and the perfect white Christmas.

The grandbabies are bringing their boots and sleds----gonna be a great day in central Il.

Happy holidays to everyone!

Last night's forecast for North Alabama was for a dusting of snow at most - we awoke to about an inch with heavy wet snow coming down. It just started tapering off with 3 inches on the ground - an incredible White Christmas. As expected the weather service issue the winter storm warning after the fact - too funny.

Merry Christmas to All!!!

It was a wonderful day here in the Nation's Capital, Ottawa, Ontario! There's been snow on the ground for almost the entire month, and today was no exception. Clear skies and sun this morning, something bright and beautiful to wake up to.

Our daughter, her husband, and their two and a half week old baby (and even their dog) came over for the afternoon and dinner. A wonderful time was had by all!
