Cold doesn't seem to be the problem here (yet - wait till tonight!). We currently have gotten about 12 inches of snow or thereabouts since midnight, and will top 20 inches per prediction by tonight. Blowing everywhere - lots of drifts - we consider ourselves snowed in right now!

Here in ND we have ordered no white stuff in our environment. I'm not sure the order went through correctly as I specified because there seems to be about 25" of it right outside the door and about 3 degrees. I am going to be contacting quality control and wish fulfillment tonight about this lapse. Expect action by morning.

A little above 70 this afternoon. Worked in the shop on some stuff for AS and sweated a little.
May rain and turn cool tomorrow.
One thing about FL, if you don't like the weather today, stick around and it will change tomorrow.

Beginning to snow here in mid-Missouri, dropping from 50's yesterday to a high of 16 tomorrow and predicted 2 degrees tomorrow night. Wind is to pick up to 25-35 mph, which should make our small snowfall seem a blizzard. Brrr. ~G

Exactly!
54 degrees F yesterday - shorts & t-shirt December weather here in Iowa!
Right now I'm listening to the blizzard winds, picking up what little snow we have. 22 degrees F now, with the wind chill at 7 degrees F.

Calgon take me away!

It's 18 degrees here in the midwest, and fixin' to get coooooold for the next couple of days, with a blizzard warning today. Just another December day in Illinois.

Stay off the roads, folks. It's a good day for a fire and a hot whiskey.

Hot Whiskey

1 shot Jameson's Irish Whiskey
1 teaspoon sugar
1 slice lemon, studded with 3 whole cloves
6 ounces boiling water, poured over and stirred

Will warm you to your very bones.

18 to 20" of snow fell yesterday. Hard to say exactly since it was soooo windy yesterday. Some of the drifts are well over 3 feet deep. Woke up this morning to -3 F temps. Currently +3 F, so a heat wave is upon us. Will be short lived though... Into the deep freeze tonight.

Hot Whiskey sounds good. Hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps is great on a cold night too, sitting in front of the fireplace reading a good book or watching a good movie.

Overnight we had a reported 2" snowfall, high winds, some drifts up to 3 1/2 to 4 feet. How does that work out??? None of the hens, nor our cats, nor the dog are willing to be outside. Hot buttered rum is planned here this evening after we go see the next Narnia movie matinee. Mixing up cookie doughs right now to chill for tomorrow's baking. All in all, a winter's day! ~G

Down to 14 degrees in the N. Ga. mountains tonight. S'posed to snow tomorrow. I'm snug and warm in the Soveriegn as always. I have a heatlamp in the rear compartment and use the furnace when the temps go below 25 degrees. Above 25 i use a blue flame propane heater and above 35-40 i use the heat pump. Many cold nights here this year but no problems at all stayig warm in the airstream and the plumbing has been just fine.

22 degrees right now and expecting snow tonight, followed by ice and sleet. 3"-6" snow depending on when the icing kicks in. Cozy inside. Using the furnace mostly, the cat on occasion, and I have some tasty meals planned for the oven.

I am all about keeping the water supply flowing, as it froze during our last winter event. Will have to rely on a dripping faucet mostly this time around.

I plan to top off the propane this morning and then say, "Bring it on!"

10 degrees in Campbellsville Kentucky right now. Keeping comfy with sunshine, wool blankets, an oil filled radiator and a warm puppy. Pictures taken yesterday. Most of the snowbirds headed to warmer climes around Christmas but I get to enjoy this beautiful solitude for one more week then heading NORTH to Jackson Center Ohio and then back on home to Michigan. To each his own... Not that I wouldn't love to be on a sandy beach down South though!!!

It's 7 degrees here in central Illinois.

Got a fire in the woodstove, good coffee and leave to head south in the morning.

Life is good.
