About the only thing you feel at this temperature is stunned. At least we have water this morning.

Lynn, at least 0˚ feels warm. You are supposed to have 57 degree swing in temps—that's extreme! It was -11˚ at 5 am here.

It's going to have to hurry up a bunch if we're going to make 21 today. It's kind of hazy/foggy this morning (all frozen in the air, I assure you), and that limits the speed of the warm-up.

So we made it to the mid 20s today, an amazing increase of over 60 degrees above the low. Alas, the power company is saying that we may have power outages tonight. So much for heating with propane.

Cold in Springfield, MO......

Might get above freezing on Saturday or Sunday - but nights will be in the single digits, below zero, or teens. Good things about February????? It doesn't last long!!!

Today will be a good day to work on a little more insulation -

We're dry, warm, and feeling good. Netflix movies are keeping us from boredom. Superbowl will be great entertainment. Next week looks about the same - minus the Superbowl.......

My husband's grandfather used to say, "It thaws everyday in February". We try to keep this in mind when we've about had it with Winter -- it does tend to lift us a little, especially when thinking too that next month is March.

FYI -- We're supposed to get another 1"-3" of snow between today and tomorrow. At least it's warming up some -- lows in the 20's; that negative zero stuff is for the birds! After that ice storm Tuesday night, we have a solid sheet of ice everywhere, with new snow on top of that. Our daughter fell Tuesday night, hit her head, and received a slight concussion from that fall. I'm trying not to go outside unless absolutely necessary.

Sorry about your daughter's fall - we got the ice too - at the base of the snow. I'm really ready for it to thaw. I'm not asking for 60s yet - but even high 30s would work fine. Our forecast next week has a lot of single digits and teens -

I do have the coach comfy.......figured out the insulation. I'd like to use less propane but that's not going to happen in this weather.

Come on March -

Still cold enough here to ... go down the mountain on a shovel! (No, I wouldn't do it. Those guys are doing over 60 mph!)
