A heating helper upgrade

SInce it has been cold I was worried about the tanks freezing. When I was last under the closet I looked at the tank heating. I was not impressed. There is one tee 4 inch to 2 inch that had the duct down into the tank area. Since there was no restriction in the 4 inch down stream of the tee very little was goign down into the tank area.

The solution. Add a scoup to get more air down there. Not enough to deprive the bedroom ony much ari. I like it cool anyway.

Smokin! Having spent the better part of the day trying to demo out water lines split seam to seam in places when the PO failed to drain the lines I see the need. All functioning water lines are now PEC, a bit more forgiving I suppose. Certainly when you are out in the figid weather you gotta keep the water lines toasty, well atleast above freezing.
I say that and it hit the seventies here today (sorry, I had to)
