Sub Floor Question

I am replacing a large section of plywood subflooring in my 93 25 ft Excella. Because the weather is getting cold, should I put the pieces tightly inside the c-channel or leave a 1/4 inch space for when summer humidity kicks in? The boards will be tightly screwed to the frame, so not sure what the correct procedure should be. Thanks in advance.

Hello Akronguy, I think the C channel defines the perimeter of the outside skins on the trailer. Your C channel may be like a upside down F channel alongs the straight sides of the trailer. I don't think you need to worry about thermo expansion differences between the steel frame, wood subfloor, and aluminum shell. I had maybe an eighth of an inch difference between the C channel and the sub floor, mainly because I could't drive it in any farther.
