Smartcore vs. ????

Insofar as interlocking/snap vinyl plank flooring, Smartcore appears to be the hands down winner from forum folks.

When visiting my nearest Lowes yesterday, it took me 20 minutes to get a clerk to assist. When I did, he was totally ignorant of flooring products. Also, no samples nor brochures available. I was so irritated that I walked out.

At a nearby Menards, I found 4-5 various snap together vinyl plank flooring manufacture's products. Most were the same specs as Smartcore. Service was astoundingly good with a clerk spending about 20 minutes sharing good tips, etc.

I am tempted to purchase one of their products, just because of my angst at Lowes. Brands included Innova and Excella.

Am I "cutting off my nose to spite my face here"?

Or. have others here purchased a non-Smartcore snap together vinyl and been satisfied in the performance?

Do not want to waste $$ on a junk product, but I tend to be "service" centered, and when not there, I tend not to deal with that seller.

Help appreciated.

floors

I just purchased a similar product at Home Depot called Isocore. Same idea, multiple layers, waterproof, rigid. Hasn't been delivered yet, but curious to hear what others think.

thanks!

Be sure to notice the manufacturer's temperature ratings for their product. I installed some stick-together Allure flooring in a mobile home that was not continuously air conditioned, and some of the seams opened up with the temperature changes.
