Should I have an underlayment installed with my new cork floors?

I just order the snap together type cork flooring for my '93 Excella and was wondering if I should also have an underlayment installed between the subfloor and the cork floating floor.

Thank you so much for your input..

Vickie

What does the manufacturer of the cork flooring recommend? That's your best source for info....

I did an underpayment when I did my floating cork floor. Everything I've read recommends the underpayment.
Enjoy your cork floor.

DO you have pics of your floor? Not sure which flooring to use. We also have a 93 Excella and just today tore out the carpet.

Hi Vickie! I'm also thinking about cork. You mentioned you're taking the AS somewhere to have the floor done. Is this and RV place or a flooring place? I hadn't even thought to have someone else do it, so I'm curious how you approached that. Thanks!
Sharon

We used a floating cork floor from Lisbon Cork called Van Gough. We did use an underlayment recommended by the manufacturer which was a stiffish grey stuff on a roll, if I remember correctly. It's at post #238 in our Little Girl Refurb thread. Three years now and going strong. We love it - very warm and easy to care for. Got it at Lumber Liquidators.
