From the photos I would say you have turquoise and clay tile red. Do you agree Daniel? Two good colours if you are going to do a "mid-century" (1950s) theme, which is all the rage now. The checkerboard tile effect goes with that same idea, IMHO.
I like the diagonal too. But did you mean were out of the fiftys? Sal.

Sound like we have a winner.
Aage, the red is named Terra Stone and the other I couldn't find. It does look like turquoise for sure.
I'm just glad those color choices didn't turn out to be a disaster

Now on to the next problem.. wall covering..

Are you going to have shiny AL walls, or is there a coat of paint coming for them?

I think you have to pick one of the floor colours and expand on that colour in curtains and walls. Better to have too few colours in play than too many, according to SWMBO. I guess the only other thing you'll be doing that needs a colour choice is the counter and tabletops.

Curtains, of course, always look good in the white that AS always used in that era on the factory curtains.

The checkerboard looks great to me. That way you don't have to worry about walls, furniture, or any other intrusion on the floor. The red and green look good together and I am sure your choices in upholstery and decorations will enhance the overall scheme. Are the cabinets going to be stained wood? What type of materials will be used for finished walls? Both of these will play a big role in your overall color scheme. Best of luck, Kelly

Checkerboard is nice! I'd put a solid color in the bathroom, small closet areas, etc.

Love the all green! My favorite color is red so the all red would be my second choice. The diagonal checkerboard look is nice but a little too busy for me in such a small space. The all green has a very peaceful look and brighter colors can be used in your accent decor.
