looking for lightweight and long lasting floor
what do you guys recommend?
want something that looks good, easy to maintain, clean and install but doesn't add a lot of weight. Price isn't a huge issue.
i've installed floors in the past even did a reclaimed floor in our former storefront. used all reclaimed wood.
looked great but was lot of work.
i've seen lots of different options on the forums and other sites but would like to get opinions and maybe some pictures of people who have done it or had it done to their airstreams.
thanks,

I used 3-1/2 boxes of vinyl planks in our Trade Wind, at some 45 lbs per box.

I'm a big fan of glue down cork tile sealed with a water based coat or two. I can't think of a downside as long as you can find a tile that you like the look of.

My vote is for vinyl plank. I put Laminate in our Argosy but plan on vinyl plank flooring in the Sovereign...

We just put in Allure vinyl planking and love it. Quick and easy to install and easy to clean.

Allure flooring
The company specifically prohibits the use of this product in campers etc unless in a temperature controlled environment.

Absolutely. So don't expect Home Depot to refund your money if it croaks. Not that their customer service is "all that" anyhow, but use in an Airstream will nuke your chances forever.
That said, I did the research and used it anyway.

The problem with a lot of residential flooring is they are designed to be installed in a climate controlled environment. An RV floor needs to be able to withstand the extremes of winter and summer storage. Now that I've moved to a colder winter climate my floor which held up under north Texas winters is now buckling from the cold Missouri winters. The buckles are in the same location, front of the kitchen cabinets and stove and adjacent to the street side dinette but they are worse than last year. During the summer the flooring relaxes and flattens out somewhat but I foresee a floor project in the future.

Oak Flooring
I used "floating" engineered oak in the Bambi. It is important to leave a gap at the walls (hidden by trim molding) to allow for expansion and contraction.

We've had bamboo down for 6 years and it still looks like the day it was installed - even with two dogs running up and down the trailer. Natural product (I hate plastic or other fake products), quickly renewable, can be finished any color and easy to clean. Goes well with our birch cabinets and walls.

I put the Lowes "Style Selections" 2mm plank in mine, and it is awesome. It shrinks a bit when its in the single digits, but returns to as installed spacing when warm. Super easy to install, I used KILZ premium as a primer, after using filler in screw heads, let it dry for a couple of days. Looks great, takes a beating and cleans up nicely. Total expense for the floor around 180. Lighter than the laminates and easier to cut.

I'm doing bamboo in my trailer, but I love the look of real linoleum. Check out Winick's book "Airstream Custom Interiors". Evidently, installation isn't for the faint of heart or the clumsy of fingers!

That's what I used, looks great. 3 boxes did the whole trailer minus bathroom. We'll see how it holds up through the winter.

Has anyone used Beauflor flooring, which is specifically marketed for rv flooring? It says it has a backing that withstands temperature extremes. It appears to be a sheet product, which I suppose is harder to install.

I've heard about Beaufort and it's benefits anyone use it?
Also visited an airstream dealership and they had a really cool floor in the class b airstream Benz sprinters. Anyone know what that is? Looks great.

Installed this floating floor in my FC last week. Just need to make new trim pieces now.
