We just finished installation and are quite pleased. We installed TrafficMaster flooring from Home Depot, Oak color. It took a few hours over two days. We will need to do some kind of moulding or caulk to cover some small gaps but haven't decided quite what we will use yet. This will be so much better than the low pile carpet that was in the trailer.
I vote for the caulk as previously mentioned. Color matched paint made it blend. I'm guessing that finding color matched trim will be more difficult, but then again, it can be painted as well. Your floor looks great.

I looked around in the carpet section of HD and I found some oak transition moulding that I used when going from carpet to the vinyl and some prefinished quarter round trim at the other edges. The quarter round isn't a great color match to the vinyl but it looks good enough to me. There is also some smaller oak edging in the HD carpet section that might cover your gaps.
Here's a picture of my TM Allure installation - the trim isn't quite finished because I ran out of material.
You can see the quarter round along the settee and kitchen counter and the carpet transition pieces are visible by the chair (with a bright reflection off of one edge).
Well, I finally made the time to finish installing the Konecto flooring. It turned out to be easier than I had expected; the flooring was easy to measure, cut and put in place. I installed it side to side in my 24' Argosy and I think it looks great! My TT has a rear bath, twin beds mid-ship, front dinette and it only took three boxes with very little waste. Our night temps are in the 29* range and outside day temps in the 80's, but I have only noticed less than 1/16" movement - not even noticable. I followed Greg's lead and installed some of the flooring under furniture and cabinet ends - I only have several spots where I will need to put trim, although it looks fine without. So far, I am very pleased and would recommend the product. I promise to get some pictures taken this weekend and posted next week. Carol
Our AS had oak parquet flooring that was installed by the PO. It was glued down and was darn near impossible to get up; we torn the heck out of the sub-floor in the process. For my money I won't put in anything that is not a floating floor in case I need to remove it again in the future.
And I am very happy to say that we are back in full repair mode again with our AS.
Well.....here are the pictures of my Konecto flooring that I promised. I sure had a lot of fun putting this flooring in. Thanks Greg for your encouragement! P.S. I had low light conditions last evening so it makes the flooring look like it's two different shades - it's showing too dark in the bathroom.
I'm a little slow in checking back on this thread. Great looking installation. Really glad I did not have to remove a glued in floor like wanaroam. That would have made this easy project terribly difficult.
Well I think we will make the jump from carpet even though the original stuff is in really good shape. Yesterday on the way home from our camping trip Mrs. HiHo noted the Airstream smells "old". We were discussion using wood like we did in our SOB RV several years back but this thread has changed my mind.
One question- the 1/16 gap that appears and dissappears, is that between each segment or just at the exterme edges? With our foot and pet traffic any gap quickly fills with dust and then grows and grows and grows...I know because that's what happened to the floor in our weekend trailer .

With the TrafficMaster Allure, it's just at the perimeter because each sheet is adhered to the adjacent sheet. In fact, it's nearly waterproof across the surface.
When you pull up that "really good shape" carpet, you'll be surprised at the stains on the underside of the backing and all of the dirt which has filtered down through the carpet and the pad. No doubt that this contributes to the smell inside.
