FC 23FB Wall to Wall

Thought we would share the wall to wall carpeting installation we just completed. Always looking for something different while in the Toaster.

Looks real nice. What size piece did you start with? Also, did you lay it loose right on top the vinyl, tack it, glue it, or what?

Wall to Wall

Had a carpet installer measure, cut and bind the carpet. It is laid down on the original vinyl surface naturally, no glue or anchors. Easy to remove sections (such as by the door or oven) to have cleaned. Plus pattern hides much of the "mess".

Nice. I was a carpet installer for years. I like that idea of having pieces cut to fit, then bound, real good idea. Being able to lay in and take out is great!

What a wonderful and clever warm idea. It looks very stylish. Throw rugs can be a problem. Thanks for sharing photos .

I like the idea of bound edges, but I wonder about using a rough jute back. It is as rough as course sand paper and I was always afraid, over time, it would eventually take out the sub floor surface. Or, did you use carpet with a smooth backing? I know Avion delivered their units with a floating carpet for years.
