Curved trim for pergo floor

In my 2003 International AS with a lot of curved surfaces, I used black plastic trim from McMaster-Carr. It is self-sticking and they describe it as "bowling ball hard). Just peel the strip on the adhesive and it really grabs. It looked great with my cork floor.

John, would you care to post a picture of that stuff? I'm looking for something to trim the interface between hull liner and bare aluminum in Vintage Thunder.

Hey! Thanks for this post, I am stiuck at trimming out my Pergo flooring. Tried a couple of things, not satisfied with the fit at the curved front walls yet. Do you have the part # or can you post the link to the product???

I'm off with the trailer in about 20 minutes to a squadron reunion. When I return Thursday, I'll post links, part numbers, and a photo of the trim. I still have some of the molding in the shop.

It's not only good around the floor periphery; I also used it to trim seversl new openings in the cabinetry in my International AS.

I used the Pergo straight trim. I simply cut the back of the trim about a 1/4" or less apart and the trim bended perfectly around the curved radiuses throughout the trailer.

A little time consuming but worht it to have matching trim pieces. And yes I did break a piece or two in the learning curve.

Log on to McMaster-Carr and look for catalog page 3482. Item B makes good trim if you can fit the floor within 1/4"; that was easy with my cork floor in the International. The glossy black molding looks great with any decor. There are several other shapes that may be useful for trimming other places in an Airstream.

There are a lot of other moldings that can be found by searching McMaster-Carr for "molding" or "trim". I find them very easy to order from and shipment is always quick.

Outwater Plastics also has a lot of moldings, but McMaster-Carr will provide it in more reasonable lengths for our use.
