Really glad to hear you are pleased with your choice - for your sake - and because I love cork and hope to incorporate it into a reno

How has the floor held up, and what kind of use does it get? How do you care for it?

Would you use the same flooring today after a few years of experience with it?

Hope you don't mind the questions, I bet others would be interested in your answers as well.

Thanks
I sold the trailer a few months after I put down the cork, but I have heard no complaints from the new owner. I loved the cork and I'm considering it for parts of my current trailer that is now carpet.

As far as care, I simply mopped it with a wet Swiffer and used Future Floor Wax.

Those plywood subfloors can be pretty bumpy. I wonder if it's a good idea to put a skim coat over them to get a real flat surface to put the cork on?

ps: I think the cork looks great! The plus is that it's light, too? Nice...

Yes, Ardex "Feather Finish". Do as much "nail setting" as you can, check for level over every six feet, sand. Line up the tiles on the floor board breaks.

ARDEX Engineered Cements

All the manufacturers, as I posted above, have PDF's on how to install. The one thing not to worry about is the humidity, as we have no control over it. We used 48-hours of acclimation to be on the safe side, I doubt it made any difference.

The cork isn't heavy, and/or, as to light shades/colors, many are available.

Cork Floor Template

John

We are new owners of a 2003 International. The factory installed carpeting seems very impractical for camping. I have spent the morning reading all your posts on your project from several years ago and downloaded your template. Could you confirm that the project was for a trailer identical or similar to our ?

Thanks

Mine was exactly the same trailer as far as I can determine. I believe there was only one floor plan in the 2003 International series.
