composite flooring bathroom installation sealing the toilet

I recently installed composite flooring in our 25 Safari. Flooring was installed in the bathroom including the toilet platform.
The installation looks great but soon after it was completed we started smelling bathroom odors.
To make a long story short the cause was poor sealing of the toilet due to the increased height of the new floor.
We double sealed the toilet with two rings and the odors no longer occured.
Make this step part of your new floor installation and avoid doing it on the road.

Another tip that may help is some of the flanges were threaded (took ours some effort to loosen) and you can unscrew them to adjust the floor plumbing height. The actual end of the flange turned freely so you can lineup the bolts for the toilet but if you grab the actual pipe inside the flange, that is what needs to turn to unscrew. Not that it is pleasant, but if you feel down the pipe to where it meets the tank pipe, you should feel threads where they meet to indicate it is threaded. We unscrewed ours almost 1 turn which inscreased the flange height about 1/4" to make up the flooring increase.
