Can I use Composite tile for flooring?

I currently have carpet (ugh!) that is glued to the original flooring. I want to replace it with Armstrong Composite tile, but in reading through some posts, I saw that most of you are using a form of sheet flooring or stick tile. Is composite the wrong way to go? I like the look of it as well as all the colors you can use.

Some even prefer them over the sheet products, as you can line up the seams of the tiles with the seams in the floor below, which can reduce the possibility of cracking down the road.

We considered using composite tile, but decided against it because it is so very, very heavy (we ended up getting linoleum tiles, which are considerably lighter). On the plus side, it is very durable and not very costly. I've seen it in trailers and it does have a nice vintage appearance, closely resembling the old asbestos tile Airstream originally installed. If you use it, you can special order (from your local building supply center) it in a thinner tile--that will reduce some of the weight.

I just pulled out an old box of 9 x 9 tiles I got at an estate sale- cute as can be- white with green, grey red, yellow & black, but they are made with asbestos. They would be perfect- they aren't too heavy and somewhat flexible. Is there a product out there similar to these? The box says "armstrong exelon tile vinyl plastic asbestos".

It takes about 6-8 hours for me to lay a self-stick tile floor in my 34'. Thats all the way forward to the edge of the bedroom. I have put in two floors and removed the carpet and one set of self stick vinyl tiles. Put it down and if you like it fine if you don't, then remove it and use another product. I now have laminate wood flooring and love it, but then I loved the vinyl too.
