Here are a couple of pictures or our install of the Allure Trafficmaster floor that I spoke of earlier in this thread.

I stayed away from the Allure for this specific reason. I did not want glue between and in-between the tongue and groove. I ended up going with Shaw vinyl plank click together. Worked great and am able to just push it back together if it separates (which it has yet to do).

Anyone that has seen separation installed the allure tm in a side to side manor? We have purchased and waiting to install, we live in Illinois, so we are going to see the cold side of winter. It would seem that if the separation is only on the butt ends one could limit the effects by installing it side to side vs front to back, it will also be a much faster install. In our 31, once we get past the living room it will mostly be full planks left to right ie no joints
any thoughts?

I'm not sure if the Allure used is what I plan on getting which is the Allure flooring with a grip strip that can be installed as a floating floor. My plan is to only attach the vinyl to the flooring in as few places as necessary.
Allure’s ease of installation is due to the patented GripStrip system. This high tensile system ensures no gapping, and has allowed Allure to become WORLD’s first vinyl plank that is installed as a floating floor. This avoids the need for messy glues, and unlike timber and laminate floors, there is no need for sawing or underlay just simply slice with a knife and install!
Allure GripStrip features a unique interlocking edge design for simple installation. Simply lay oevrlapping GripStrip of one plank on adjacent plank and press together...No other adhensive required
Minimal trimming involved, Just score and snap!
Product specification as follow
Allure Grip Strip

We used Allure Traffic Master with the grip strip. If I ever have to replace a floor again, I will use the kind that snaps together.

That's how we did it from the rear bathroom through to the door between the twin beds and the galley.
I am soooo hoping it's OK!

I spoke to the manager of a local grocery store where they'd installed the Allure. They were ripping it out about 15 months after installing it.
It looked horrid about 1 year after installation, but the problem was a poorly prepared surface more than the product itself. The extreme amount of traffic on a commercial space didn't help either. What happened was that prior to installing this product they'd had normal 12x12" tiles put down with contact cement and the "cleanup" done when they removed them wasn't done properly. Little bits of adhesive were left along with a few gouge marks where the removal had been a bit too aggressive. After a while the heavy traffic flattened the vinyl so much that every little bump and dip showed through.
If you plan to use it, make sure the surface is smooth and clean. A tiny pebble will become visible as time goes by.

My daughter & I are out camping right now & I thought I'd update the allure flooring debacle....It has expanded back quite a bit compared to what it was it was this spring. It's acceptable, since the care is so easy. Mine has a little bulge from expanding in one area, but I'm going to wait to address that until after we've gone through a winter with it installed.

I installed Allure (not the one with the glue strips) during December, last winter. The Allure with the "click and snap" assembly is much the same as most of the laminate flooring products, as it is a "floating" floor. Also, it's supposed to be waterproof. It's a lot easier to install than the laminate products.
So far, there has been no problems, as it can expand and contract with the temperature changes. This is the third AS that we've redone, if we do another, I think I'll use the same product again.

Good to hear, Larry. If I ever do another floor, I'll go with the click together kind you used.

This the same flooring that WalMart uses in the clothing areas of the store.

We're looking to replace ugly carpet in our 2003 30' Land Yacht MH. Love the Allure and appreciate all of the input in this thread. We're in So Cal and it sounds like it might be OK here, as we don't have the temperature extremes in many of the areas with not-so-happy users. Let me know if I'm mis-interpreting the input here... thx...

Still happy, but still keeping fingers crossed
We put the sticky-edge Allure on about half of Henri's floor, directly on the plywood underlay. We went horizontal (across the trailer), our reasoning being that that way left shorter planks. We hoped that would mean less swelling or shrinkage.
It made it through last year's horribly cold weather perfectly, and we are hoping it will make it again. Here's a link to what the "cork" finished Allure looks like. I still love the look.
If you don't get to post #175 from that link, you will find it not far from the end of the thread. We are planning to finish the other half of the TT this spring.
Aage, still thinking that Allure is the way to go for flooring.
