75th anniversary flooring

Does anyone know what kind of floor was used in the 75th anniversary Airstream or Airstreams CEO personal 1950 Flying Cloud? It look great!

"Sheet linoleum" per David Winick's website.

Send him an e-mail and ask him. Though he is in the pantheon of Airstream restorers, he has promptly answered my emails.

I agree with you... I love his stuff. I also think Airstream should use him to do their marketing photography.

My best guess is Teak and Holly Marine grade plywood. Do a Google search, you can buy it by the sheet.

yep it is really just a thin, inexpensive sheet of vinyl...

armstrong brand i think.

Vinyl Flooring

the a/s tech support should be able to give you the exact info...

and they still have a partial roll or 2 in the factory...

it might be 'genuine lino' i've forgotten the roll details and can't find my picture of it....

but any local supplier should work.

cheers

no doubt dw started the design with other materials or floor specs,

but a/s detuned many of the original artists suggested materials...

at least that's what i recall reading on the forums...

As I recall from looking at the 75th Anniverasry trailer when it came out...it's an actual linoleum that was used, not sheet vinyl. I believe it is one from Forbo's "Graphic" line of Marmoleum, which can be seen here: Forbo Graphic

it funny what we remember, i sure hope somebody can get this right!

as i recall the COUNTER TOPS are marmoleum, glued to plywood,

but not the floors.

is there another model with that dark flooring pattern?

maybe that was the dark vinyl i saw on the plant floor.

this is too funny.

cheers

Looking back, I see that the original question refers to the flooring in two different trailers.

- 75th anniversary Airstream

- Airstreams CEO personal 1950 Flying Cloud

The one I was refering to is the '50 FC... which I love!

75th edition

is a linoleum. A company called Lonseal in Carson, Ca makes it with 3 or 4 different colors and finishes. We pulled up carpet in our Moho and put it in and it looks great. Don't have any pics of it though! sorry
